Ashley Cook graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2019 in the top five (5) percent of her class and earned a certificate in Natural Resource and Environmental Law. Ms. Cook obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, summa cum laude, from the University of New Mexico. Ms. Cook is admitted to the New Mexico Bar, United States District Court, District of New Mexico, and United States Bankruptcy Court, District of New Mexico.
Ms. Cook was recognized in the Inaugural Edition of “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” for her work in two practice areas – Banking and Finance Law and Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency.
Before joining the Allen Law Firm, LLC, Ms. Cook’s practice focused on representing financial and lending institutions in all aspects of their operations as well as assisting individuals and businesses with beginning their new chapters through bankruptcy. She has experience in commercial litigation, real estate, and bankruptcy. During law school, Ms. Cook worked for a solo practitioner where she developed a strong client-focused approach to law. She also clerked for the United States Department of Justice, Office of International Affairs where she assisted in high profile extraditions and assisting domestic and foreign governments with evidence gathering. Ms. Cook’s experience in various areas of law have taught her the importance of approaching all matters she handles with the with the three P’s: Professionalism, Promptness, and Preparedness.
Currently, Ms. Cook focuses her practice on personal injury defense, insurance defense, coverage matters and medical malpractice.
